Oakland County Parks' Natural Resources Management Program is dedicated to ensuring the health and function of natural communities and waterbodies within the 7,632 acres OCP manages or operates that intersects five major watersheds and contains many of their headwaters. These natural spaces are some of the best remaining examples of remnant natural communities in Southeast Michigan. Functioning as major ecological "hubs" within a larger network of open spaces, natural areas and waterways, our parks fulfill critical roles by supporting ecosystem services, protecting water quality and providing wildlife habitat.

We work to preserve, protect and promote conservation, stewardship and sustainable practices and take a holistic approach to natural resources management..
