Inmate Visitation Information
Overview
Inmate visits take place through a video visitation system or inmate tablets and are scheduled by the visitor by appointment ONLY. Until further notice, all visits (on-site and remote) will take place through the jail kiosks or inmate tablets.
Visitors may select the date and time for their visit by creating an account at www.smartinmate.com. Funds are converted to 'credits' which are used for remote visits (one credit = 0.01). See below for contact information.
Visits must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance and can be scheduled up to two weeks prior. Visits can be either 15 minutes or 30 minutes long. Unused time does not roll over.
Visits On-Demand:
- Inmates can schedule visits on demand during visiting times or other unprohibited times.
Professional Visits are as follows (both on-site and remote):
- Monday
andthrough Sunday – 7:15 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Social (Family & Friends) Visits are as follows (both on-site and remote):
- Monday through Friday – Social (Family and Friends) 1:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday - 9:15 AM to 8:15 p.m.
Prohibited Visitation Times:
- Due to high-volume operational times, all visits (kiosks and tablets) are prohibited from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon; and 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Attorneys may visit in-person during the prohibited times, however, there may be additional waiting times.
Additional Information
Only the person who registered as the visitor may visit.
There is no cost to visit on-site (at the jail facility). Off-site visits may be done from a computer or cell phone for a fee of 0.11 (11 credits) per minute. Same rules apply as on-site visits.
One adult visitor and one child visitor is allowed. The visitor must be the adult who scheduled the visit and (if there are multiple children in the family) only ONE child at a time per visit. During on-site visits, children CANNOT be left unattended in the waiting area.
Visitors must have a current valid driver's license, state ID or passport to visit.
Proper attire for visitors shall be as follows: Visitors shall not be permitted to visit/enter the jail facility if they are wearing hoodies, scarves, hats or any transparent clothing, shorts or skirts more than two (2) inches above the knee, tank or tube tops, bathing suits, zippered tops or any revealing attire. Further, any clothing denoting drug, alcohol, the potential to create an unsafe environment, or gang affiliation is not allowed. The Visitation Unit has full determination in whether clothing is deemed acceptable for the jail facility. Religious headgear may be permitted.
Visitors are prohibited from wearing and/or recording with smart glasses, vaping, smoking, displaying drugs or weapons, or engaging in any nudity or sexually explicit actions. It is recommended that all visitors obey all laws including motor vehicle laws when visiting.
Mobile Devices: When using a Mobile device such as a Smart Phone, iPad or Tablet, please make sure that the operating system is up to date (i.e. iPhone or iPad iOS). This will ensure optimal use and help eliminate technical issues while visiting.
