apprenticeship programPartner with Oakland County Michigan Works! to launch a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program.

A Win-Win Opportunity for Everyone

Build a Registered Apprenticeship program to expand your skilled workforce and provide a comprehensive, work-based training opportunity.

Apprenticeships combine classroom study with paid, on-the-job training under the supervision of a journey-level craftsperson or trade professional as a mentor.

The length of apprenticeships vary, depending on the training requirements that you determine are necessary for apprentices to succeed.

Registered Apprenticeship programs may be eligible for federal and state grant support.

Employer Workshop Series: Mental Health in the Workplace

Identifying and Helping Struggling Employees

JUNE 10, 2025 | 1:00 - 2:30 PM

Employers know people are their greatest asset and their mental health impacts every aspect of their lives, including their work. According to the 2024 State of Workforce Mental Health Report published by Lyra Health, 65 percent of U.S. workers today say their mental health is impacting their ability to do their job.

Join us for our next free, virtual workshop, which will focus on identifying common signs of mental distress in employees and what to do when you see them. Effective communications strategies for helping those who need help will be shared, as well as reasons to avoid unhelpful approaches to mental health concerns. A range of resources will be discussed, along with ideas on how to share them.

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Spotting signs of mental distress in employees.
  • Understanding of how economic uncertainty, burnout and stress, as well as other mental concerns, impact employee performance
  • Having effective, empathetic conversations about mental health.
  • Referring employees to appropriate resources without overstepping.
