Need Support? Learn More About the Advantage: Apprenticeships Program

Employers: An apprenticeship program provides a long-term solution to your workforce needs and talent gaps

apprenticeship programPartner with Oakland County Michigan Works! to launch a U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship program.

A Win-Win Opportunity for Everyone

Build a Registered Apprenticeship program to expand your skilled workforce and provide a comprehensive, work-based training opportunity.

Apprenticeships combine classroom study with paid, on-the-job training under the supervision of a journey-level craftsperson or trade professional as a mentor.

The length of apprenticeships vary, depending on the training requirements that you determine are necessary for apprentices to succeed.

Registered Apprenticeship programs may be eligible for federal and state grant support.

Business Workshop: NAVIGATING AI

Using the breakthrough technology to strengthen your workforce development effort

  • Date: 01/15/2025 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

JANUARY 15, 2025 | 1:00 PM

Businesses of all sizes are embracing the power of artificial intelligence (AI). According to the 2024 McKinsey Global Survey on AI, 65 percent of respondents said their organizations are regularly using gen AI, nearly double from last year. Nearly three quarters of them said gen AI will have a significant or disruptive impact on their industries in the years ahead.

Join us on for our next virtual workshop, which will explore how organizations can leverage gen AI as a practical tool to amplify their existing workforce’s skills and experience. We will focus on actionable strategies for business owners that can be immediately implemented, while avoiding technical jargon and fear mongering. The session will help businesses save time, increase profits and deliver more value to their clients.

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:

  •  Learn how gen AI can improve workforce efficiency and innovation
  • Upskill and/or reskill your workforce; see how gen AI can augment
    jobs, rather than replace them
  • Use gen AI to support your workforce recruitment activities by
    identifying the right talent
