Oakland County Parks offers a variety of programming for active adults. Explore our parks, try a new activity, learn about Oakland County history and enjoy socializing with others in a welcoming, friendly environment. Walk This Way Walking Series begins

Walk This Way: Develop healthy habits one step at a time

Join Oakland County Parks for a six-week 55+ walking series featuring themed walks focused on mindfulness, pacing, balance and strength. Build healthy habits and enjoy time outdoors. Select sessions will also feature “Walk and Talk” guest experts sharing wellness insights, practical tips and community resources in a relaxed, conversational setting.

This program will be held from 10-11 a.m. Thursdays on the following dates: Sept. 24 and Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. Meet at the boat launch parking lot in Pontiac Oaks Park. Cost is $10 for all six weeks. Registered participants will receive a reusable water bottle.
